From what I’ve seen of the sport, pickleball is the poor man’s tennis using wooden paddles, large plastic balls, smaller courts, and players up close to the net. Though not as physically exhausting as tennis, it’s a game anyone can play. As the popularity of the sport mushroomed during the Pandemic, savvy businessmen found a way to monetize the sport and make it professional with the formation of Major League Pickleball (MLP) led by Steve Kuhn and the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) purchased by Thomas Dundon both in 2021....

It was a party, and Claire was set up on a blind date by a friend. Suddenly, there is a flash, and out of the mists enters this really hot guy (Zach Dulin). Following behind him is Brian, who is coughing from the smoke-filled entryway. While the happy couple reminisces with a rose-colored rear view, the audience sees the mishaps that really transpired. Even though I love comedy to the bone, I am not much of a laugher....

Maddy Zabel (Jenna D’Angelo) is a socialite known more for her unruly behavior and leaked sex tape (with her sister’s ex) and Elliot (Chris Henry Coffey) is the reporter who has been assigned to interview her over the phone. Zabel is more interested in promoting her new endeavors and Elliot is more interested in getting some good dirt. Well, except he’s not really all THAT interested, as his personal life is going to s**t while he’s mid-interview, and the faux-civility Elliot and Maddy exchange turns into a more subdued hostility as the two give and take to their own benefit....

Zottoli sees herself more along the lines of a “sexy librarian” than just another mindless piece of bikini-clad eye candy. In fact, this brainy thespian is movin’ on up in the cinematic world with a role in the film “Rolling Kansas” which just played at Sundance. She’s trying to make the transition to meatier parts that showcase her acting chops rather than her jaw-dropping bod. And the statuesque brunette says her serious, all-business attitude comes in handy in the real world too, where no one has tried to pull any funny stuff with her when she’s gone in for an audition....

You may be surprised to learn that Pierce Brosnan is Irish. The characters he’s played come across as British, and of course, he famously played British super-spy James Bond. He speaks eloquently and longingly of his homeland, even though he lives now in California. This is the way of things for many people displaced from Ireland. There is a long and sad history of those forced to leave because of financial hardship or for other reasons....

Isaac catches up to her to return the bag just as she steps inside her house. Victoria is pleased at the hospitality shown by Isaac, but before she can finish properly thanking him, she receives a phone call. He yells out goodbye, but instead of leaving, Isaac sneaks up the stairs and stows away in an unused room. Can Isaac stay hidden from Victoria, or will the sounds he makes give him away?...

Like his music, everything here carries a personal, intimate feeling. By the conclusion, the musician’s creative process and inner doubts are laid bare....
