Meanwhile, Godzilla has established his nest at the Roman Coliseum and heads out to dispatch any Kaiju threatening to cause trouble. But something sinister is lurking of gigantic proportions. Seismic tremors vibrate across the Earth, and somehow, Jia is the only person who can figure it out. The mystery lies somewhere in Hollow Earth, and Ilene, Jia, Kaiju dentist Trapper (Dan Stevens), pilot Mikael (Alex Ferns), and YouTuber/hero of the previous film Bernie (Brian Tyree Henry) are sent to follow Kong to solve the mystery....

When Dickley attempts to find the town physician, Labinia insists that Estrogenia make a tale to explain her sudden menstrual flow, while Estrogenia decides the truth is in order....

Our tale opens in the middle of a global pandemic. A Haitian immigrant (Wan Dral) awakens from a medically induced coma with a severe case of amnesia. Going by the name of Isaac, our hero attempts to uncover his true identity. During a Black Lives Matter march in his city, sinister forces attempt to create chaos with a car explosion in the middle of the protest. Isaac runs into one of the conspirators who planned the explosion, and he recognizes Isaac as a former cohort…who was supposed to be dead....

And if her story doesn’t interest you, perhaps the art itself will. Populated with dismemberment, s**t, small children, wild animals and strange historical context, her artwork often delivers on shock, though conversation reveals that the grotesque has a purpose. Sure, some elements just fit, but everything ties into the idea that she’s hoping to get across (which varies by painting), and are surprisingly often based on actual events or forgotten stories....

In the first half, Maestro opens with a life-changing phone call when he’s needed as a last-minute replacement as the conductor of the New York Philharmonic, and the moment propelled the gifted Bernstein into the forefront of the New York art scene, where he thrived over his love of conducting, composing, and Broadway. While at a swanky party, fate would bring Lenny into the presence of stage actress Felicia Montealegre (Carey Mulligan)....

Matcha and Vanilla is not the first film I’ve reviewed that explored the bleak job market in Japan. That honor belongs to Under a Red Bridge. Unlike that lovely cinematic bon bon of Magical Realism, Yuki and Ai exist in a Japan which aligns more closely to reality. Money woes, the perpetual search for office work, and the brutally crushing sense of personal dishonor that associates itself with being unemployed are all explored in this film....

Now I expect disbelief over the idea that Stephen Baldwin could be better than the mediocrity he has exposed himself to over the years. But sometimes, an actor is given a few moments that define a possible future for him. Baldwin has the look and talent for indie film. Not the direct-to-video crap he’s involved himself in, but works that get him out in the real filmed world, drama that keeps him as he is here....

Nick (Jason Bernardo) is a screenwriter who has had some success in the past. Unfortunately, he hasn’t sold a script in a while, so money is tight. His wife, Lana (Jessica Neufeld), had a prominent role on a soap opera before being written off. Now, she’s an editor. Nick sets up cameras around their lavish apartment and streams their daily lives to get a cash flow. This happens to the surprise of Lana....

Nikki later wakes up in a hospital, with her doctor (Dana Millican) explaining she’s been in a coma for a year. Her friend Jess (Scarlett Sperduto) visits her with Nathan, as they have been waiting for her to wake up. They all head out to a house in the woods owned by their friend MJ (Cissy Ly) for Christmas Eve. Everyone is sympathetic to Nikki’s plight, but no one believes her when she says the real Santa attacked her....

Coney Island (Giuseppe Andrews) is a young man who appears to be immune to the jaded scepticism that fills every corner of society. Coney is a change-of-life baby which means his parents were really old when they had him....

Ricardo Lorenzo’s short film Transparent captures a rough transition point in life, and expands it to envelop both younger and older sibling in their unique scenarios to make a grander statement about family, acceptance and change. It’s also entertaining and fun, and for all the emotional moments it contains, doesn’t read as false of melodramatic. Because most of those emotional outbursts and moments happen for a young woman who has just had her first period, and is navigating her teenage years; this is puberty, Frances could just as easily be losing her mind over… well, anything....

The film follows Steindorff’s personal journey in learning he was born Autistic, and he interviews both Autistic children and adults. Autism’s history is weaved in between the interviews. There are shocking reveals, such as Dr. Johann Asperger and his ties with Nazi Germany, as well as horrific electric shock treatments used in the early twentieth century to treat the condition. The importance of a solid educational experience is emphasized with a focus on private schools that help children on the spectrum....

In the film we meet Alan (Martin Pfefferkorn Michael Tyrell) and Bridgette (Maria Rusolo), a couple doing their laundry. Alan begins to wonder aloud one of life’s eternal questions: where do those singular socks go when we lose them? As if summoning a genie from a bottle a freaky homeless man named Klaus (Michael Tyrell Martin Pfefferkorn) appears claiming he knows where they go and, if Alan and Bridgette want the answer, they should meet him in the park later that night....
